It's our first dessert wine - only 500 bottles made (375 mL)!
This last harvest wine was a project of Love. Alejandro and I visited a friend's vineyard in Rutherford Napa Valley and picked this Sauvignon Blanc Noble Rot. We hand-crafted the entire process. We picked, harvested, then brought it to the winery, where we pressed the fruit and placed it in a single barrel. This unfiltered wine has a very slight carbonation which makes it even more fun to drink.
Three years later, ready to bottle and ready to enjoy!
Winemaker Tasting Notes:
Alluring aromas of wildflower honey, orange blossom, fresh nutmeg, toasted brioche, and ripe pear. It continues to open up, revealing much more complex notes of spices, stone fruits, and citrus. The palate pops with sweet fruit notes of candied pineapple and orange peel, roasted nectarine, and baked apple, with hints of pie spice and toasted almonds. The natural sweetness is balanced with tart acidity.
